She smiles and looks around at the people around her,
Outside she is carm, relaxed, happy and smiles.

He watches her smile, looks deeper and notices the smile didn’t reach her eyes,
He sees her relaxed state and notices her hands clenched in her lap,
He sees the people around her and notices they don’t see what he sees.

He walks up and stands behind her, reaches down and strokes her shoulder,
She feels him and tenses.
He walks around and takes her hand, lifts it to his lips and kisses her fingers.
She looks into his eyes and sees him, she knows he can see her like nobody else.

She smiles and this time her eyes go soft and her hand closes around his.

She opens her eyes and he’s gone, she lets one tear fall, takes a deep breath and smiles once more at the people around her that can never see inside like he could.
